Review Shows No Deficiencies

On April 14, 2021, the ISBE Regional Office of Education reviewed Christ Lutheran School policies, curriculum, student records, and school records for SY 2020/2021. A total of 129 areas were reviewed. It was determined that there were No Deficiencies. Our own advance planning for a potential deficiency in health instruction, including documentation and target dates for completion, was accepted to be within compliance.

This is a significant achievement. It should give confidence to everyone that, to the best of our ability and given modest resources, Christ Lutheran School is compliant with state standards and best practices for private schools.

Thanks are due to Marcy, our Secretary, who adapted to a new way of preparing for review and spent many hours reviewing and correcting materials, scanning and filing. Thank you, Marcy!

Thanks are also due to our faculty who performed the extra duty of submitting copied and scanned materials as requested to create a database ensuring that every required area was ready for review. Thank you, faculty!

Thanks are also due to our board of directors, which trusted me to rewrite policies as needed and who patiently endured presentation during lengthy meetings, and approved recommended improvements.

Together, we achieved a perfect score the first time!

With God’s blessing, we will continue to improve our school and so serve our beloved families well!
